With a lifetime of experience working in the performing arts, Debbie Peters focuses her energy on developing new audiences nationally and internationally for some of Canada's finest musicians. The founder of Magnum Opus Management, she built MOM into an award-winning agency and artist development company from her base of operations in Whitehorse, Yukon.
Debbie programmed performances by Northern Canadian Artists for PEI 2014 and placed artists in the National Arts Centre’s Northern Scene, Pan Am Games 2015, Canada Summer Games 2017, and CBC National TV’s New Year’s Eve Countdown to 2020. She was instrumental in bringing BreakOut West to Whitehorse in 2011 and 2019. She produced and toured projects such as Bentall, Byrnes & Mann; A Circumpolar Soundscape featuring Indigenous Women singer/songwriters from Northern Canada and Greenland; and the collaborative New North Collective, a multi-genre music and film experience. Magnum Opus Management is the only full-service artist management company and booking agency based in Northern Canada.
Debbie received the 2010 Artist Manager/Agent of the Year Award with the Canadian Arts Presenting Association (CAPACOA) and was nominated multiple times for a Manager and Agency of the Year Award with the Western Canadian Music Awards.
Over the years, Debbie has served on national and regional arts boards and is currently an executive member of a dynamic national organization of Canadian Agents & Managers.
